Our story begins in Tangier, Northern Morocco, where the Bengio family, descendants of the Spanish Jewish diaspora, perfected the art of crafting Mahia – a traditional fig brandy.

For generations, sun-ripened figs were handpicked from local trees, distilled with precision, and transformed into a cherished drink that graced tables and celebrations.

How it all began

Time passed, and part of the family journeyed
to the United States, carrying their rich distilling legacy with them. In upstate New York, this tradition evolved – blending the old with the new to create something extraordinary.

Today, that spirit lives on in Hôebeek
– a kosher liquors crafted in three indulgent flavors: coffee, chocolate, and vanilla.

Kosher, crafted with care, and designed to enhance any experience

– that’s the Hôebeek way!
